Did you check the oil at all in the last year, and how many miles have you done? I wouldn’t rely on the oil warning light because the engine will use oil over time, how much would depend on your mileage

Sounds good but we’re pretty much all based in the UK

Well it’s funny to look back since I last updated 3.5 years ago with 100k miles. didn’t really add many miles for the 3 years after that but I’ve done over 11,000 miles this year now. Hit 130,000 miles this morning on the way to work. however it’s starting to make a few odd noises, and with...

All I know is that with my Skoda there was definitely an aftermarket actuators for the turbo that the dealers don’t offer - they only sell it as a whole unit with the turbo. 5 years later it’s still going strong.

So currently all the new members are filtered through a list of known scammers, this is built into the forum software and runs it against multiple other forum Databases. the alternative is manual approval which we trialled before and it was too time consuming for such a small team the best...

Have i misunderstood or does this mean that there is no noise if you keep the fans on but turn off the aircon? That would lean towards an issue with the condenser for me

pins? I thought they had a little split pin on the end that needed removing but it’s been 12 years since I last changed the brakes on… anything

Fuel pump sounds like the most obvious suggestion to me; I had similar problems on a few cars before and a new fuel pump seemed to clear things up

I definitely remember both of my Senators, and my old Carlton, being exceptionally comfortable cars. I did thousands of cross-Europe miles in the Carlton and as many here will attest, I’m not a small man!

Sounds like quite the adventure there. Glad to hear you made it home despite some of the niggles - hoping they’re as simple for you to fix and you’ve got yourself a great car to enjoy
  12. Vivaro / Movano Camper Van / Day Van Conversions
That makes sense yes I am sure there will be someone who’s come up with a solution for the issue you are looking to solve as an aside - in my car (a Skoda) there’s a button that you can press which will deactivate the motion detectors completely and only operate the immobiliser when I lock the...

Are there motion sensors in the back part of the van or just the drivers cabin?

How’s it been so far then?

of course. I paid £250 for one Senator and £750 for another; and £99 for a Carlton back in 2006- 2008-ish when they’re worth so little it’s hardly surprising people took the offer of £2,000 for them

they were big cars, lots of sound deadening, leather, electric stuff, heavy engine too
  17. Rear Wheel Drive Vauxhall Area
    Yeah - 1640kgs curb weight for a 24v Senator.

but it’s still very high on my list of what I’d buy if I won ‘who wants to be a millionaire’

the digital dash is so cool though! No idea why people didn’t like them

yeah the 5 spoke design was on the 12v certainly, these look like the 24v wheels yes, the same engine was in the Senator which was basically a top-spec Carlton, and they could be optioned with a manual as a number of police forces chose, but yes they were mostly autos and they shift pleasantly...
