    hello,
    I own a 2002 Astra G 125,000 miles.
A few month ago the radio and electric windows went dead until I clicked on when I turn the key a few ml round when engines on they work again, I never got it checked the car is just a good old work horse and I bought it a few year ago for £250, the ignition barrel has been changed at some point but it has always started ok 1st time all the time. Just a few weeks ago tho it started to cut out at junctions, always at low speeds going down to 2nd or 1st at junctions. But it always starts again straight away, no warning lights, no overheating, just as if i turn the key to stop. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or opinions. Should I get the barrel changed? I'm looking for the cheap option something I can maybe do myself and get parts at local scrappy.

    Thanks a lot

Sounds like a typical EGR valve fault

I suspect they would be to do with the ignition barrel if turning the key helps
