No unfortuantely I can't get the orignal screen.

I have spoken to a local garage and they are willing to lend me a Tech 2 for a couple of hours, but would be handy if I knew what to do.

I have looked at the Vauxhall TIS 2000 and I think the dealer gets the message the Radio is Theft Protected for Another Vehcile. Can you fix this problem without the orginal vehcile?

    Thanks

I didn't think you could, as it needs decoding first from the donor. Hopefully someone who knows Tech2 can give you a definitive Yes or No

    CID into Omega

    Hiya,
I have a CID too but have no idea how to test it. The guy was selling it on ebay as faulty for £20. Thought it might be worth it for that. Its a 2003 colour display with one 32 pin socket and a 12 pin psocket but I have no idea how to test it. My current Omega has one grey plug in the pack of the existing MID. Any ideas giys. I know i will not be able to use it on my 1998 Omega but may come in useful if I pick up a facelift one.

    Best Regards
    Mike

Hi, I wondered if you can help me. I've tried to retro fit sat av for a customer of mine. I've followed this how to step by step. The radio still turns on the steering controls still work. But it will not communicate with the display. So all I see is the Vauxhall logo, the wrong time, the correct temperature. The radio can turn up the volume still too. I've tripled checked my wiring. The only thing I have not done is connected the reverse wire to pin 29 as I run out if pins, I still real like that's not going to be the reason it doesn't work. Please help the car isn't an morgue but a signum. So the wire colours on the 32way connector didn't match. Otherwise everything else was correct. Thanks for the time in making the how to as otherwise I wouldn't have taken the job on.
    Thanks Shannon
