    Hey guys!

My 2015 Mokka needs a 2nd service... was honestly dreading getting this done, due to the cost of the first one (£150). The second one is considered a 'Major Service' and that is £250, if you book online, through Vauxhall's official website (one local dealership near me was going to charge me £275 [IMG]

I genuinely thought, to keep your warranty, you had to go with Vauxhall, but I've read online that it's really not the case, and you can go anywhere you'd like, only if they use the parts Vauxhall require for a second service. Soo.. I stopped by a local independent garage after work today, and I've booked it in with them. I'm not sure on the cost with them yet, but I know it'll be much cheaper. (He's going to contact Vauxhall first and get the requirements for the 2nd service, then let me know how much it'll be.)

Has anyone done the same, and used a local garage for all car maintenance? I was considering getting all three services done by Vauxhall, and when the warranty expires, use a local garage, but I just can't afford these costs Vauxhall charge.

We've had 9 new or nearly cars in the last 14 years & none have been near a main dealer unless warranty work was required , all cars have been looked after by our local garage . Never had any problems when needing to claim on the manufacturers warranty.
