What version have you ordered ?
Hopefully you've ordered by software version and haven't been taken in by unscrupulous sellers claiming "V 1.64 latest version " etc etc, because that's the firmware and the software supplied will probably the same as you already have.

it is the 1.64 only as its the same twin sided circuit board and lay out as my 2007 board am guessing its the correct chip not a clone so can be programmed to go back to what ever is needed
what software would be best for it or should i say what is the best i have just joined the opcom forum

I see that you've signed up over on opcomusers,at least the software on your new one is a slightly newer version,
i would run it as is on the Meriva and see if it does all you need.
I'm sure you've read all the posts regarding the different boards/chips etc and risks of bricked units when updating, so see how you go

Unfortunately there are fake "genuine PIC" chips doing the rounds too, even on the 2007 based boards. Very, very hard to spot visually so if you don't need to change the firmware the best advice is to leave well alone.

ok it turned up board is the same as the 2007 opcom i have its part silicon glue held in place so i left it alone reading the underside , it came with the 120309a software as well as the older china clone i set it up with the 120309a and plugged it into the meriva B so far i have been able to read everything on the car inc the faults
nearly forgot chip looks ok but as this is all up and running it can stay as it is
