So, the quietest PVS yet for me, of the 5 I have now been to.

The washout of last year did not do us many favours, however, there were some nice new touches this year to the camping arrangements, mainly in the form of tracks with hardcore on them to save the fields becoming one huge mud pit.

However, we were lucky with the weather and had about 20 minutes rain at most!

So, no convoy for me this year *sniff*

Met up with Woko and Becki just outside PVS, to set up camp and await Matt who had "work" that day...

So we put the tent up (a bit) and then, importantly, lit the BBQ. Which was nice. Once Matt turned up, the meat was on!

Now unfortunately we were camping next to a few less salubrious characters, who turned up and decided that we had indeed found the best pitch and were nearby. But they weren't any trouble

After food, we headed off to have a nosey round. Matt decided that he wanted to see how quickly he could do the strip. On foot. Walking. Think he did it in a reasonable 5 minutes 29 seconds... next year we aim to beat that!

Next morning, after some tasty cooked breakfast, we headed off for a look around the strip. The tasty sound of some V8 Monaros and VXR8s was delightful, and then the many many turbo novas/corsas and, this year, Tigras seemed to setting some pace as well...

Favourite for me was the orange Rascal pick up with a Yamaha R1 engine... 12 seconds down the strip.. not bad at all!

Fireforce was there as ever setting some quick times and being quite loud....

Then Matt decided he fancied a go as well.. and took the Carlton down the strip a few times.. the GSi definitely looks good on the strip!

Bought a few bits of tat, and got some nice sunburn.. headed back and did some more cooking, and Matt_b_uk came along, and we watched the England game on a 46m2 telly.. not bad at all though the outcome was the same!

For the evening, after cooking, and the footy, we wandered down to the bar, and then to the "Kiss" stage... which was a bit crap really but a few drinks were had and all was well enough

Yesterday, more of the same, BBQ, tent down, Sy Hackett and his lovely missus turned up and we headed over to the stand and had a look round some more, again saw a few nice cars, and watched some strip action... all in the basking hot sunshine.

Later, we went over to the drifting/handling area, where Paul Swift was showing off a bit in his Evo doing some stunts, and they had "Drift Taxis" which you could have a ride in... there were some Skylines and 200SXs... as well as a naughty sounding Omega and an awesome Senator! Jealous I was!

Anyway, a few photos for you all... didn't take make as I forgot my camera so just the phone!

So, for 2011, if we go again... we will definitely aim to use the newly introduced (and unknown to us) "Quiet Camping Area" to be the other side of the strip and hill from all the chavs playing their stereos until 2am... which will be nice. Hopefully the attendance will be better, but, all in, I had a great weekend

Sadly not. Billing will be much better, which overall is a much better show, and we'll be at Total Vauxhall Live as well!

On a positive note regarding how quiet it was, it was lovely not queueing to get in! This is the first time I've been down the strip. Great laugh, even if I wasn't setting any land speed records. Here's a quick vid of my car:
