I get the same...P reg Astra mk3, 1.6 auto, 16 pin Diag plug. Pins 5+6/4+6=continual flashing.

I'm reading that OBD2 came in around this time and a lot of sites say that codes on this age of setup can't be read without a code scanner..is this correct?

My 99 Frontera 3.2 is getting code C0227 Left Front Wheel Sensor Erratic Signal. The sensor has been replaced but problem remains - any ideas gratefully received.

Wheel based sensors usually throw up ptoblems relating to dirt contamination or loose connections due to vibration.

I take it you mean the light is still coming on?

I would remove the wheel and clean the whole area, and make sure all is secure.

I just tried taking a fault code reading from our 1.6i cav, and the ecu light just blinked on/off on/off like a mad thing, with no sequence.
I tried it on our cally, and it worked fine, reporting code 12 as it should.
Is there a different procedure for the 1.6i?.
    Thanks, Bob.
