    We have the 2.0Dti version although its a slug of the line it drives ok.

    Just listen out for banging at the rear over speed bump.... this will be rear rose bushes (simular to veccy B)

    If not already done seal the ariel base as the have a habit of leaking once seal goes brittle, this goes unnoticed until rear footwell is pisswet through.

    Oh and the usual drain by heater blower.

    Otherwise ours is ok

    Two new front tyres fitted this week.

    Not winter tyres, as that would just be pointless.

    Does buggery sound clattery?

    I'm no expert (apart from that one time, but that was an accident and we don't talk about it), but I'm sure it sounds more screamy......

    More renewal of parts today...

    Don't think the topmounts should look like this;

    [IMG]

    Performance was a bit lacking and boost was a bit 'lumpy' this last week so this weekend I also removed the EGR Valve (again) and cleaned it thoroughly (again), as well as removing the boost sensor (again) and also thoroughly cleaning that (again) and then this time also removed the throttle body and cleaned out all the accumulated, congealed thick sticky oily gank from the entry into the Inlet manifold and from the throttle butterfly itself.
    Rebuilt it all with the addition of some 'blank' gaskets for the EGR made from some spare material (not cut up cans, honest) and so far so good.

    Still got a creak/squelch from the front suspension over bumps though - probably needs a pair of ARB bushes next.

    Love this car. :)

    Tremendous. I like it when cars that are often neglected are showed some mechanical attention

    Yep. Although it's a total sh1tter, I need some form of reliability for it's commuting duties, so maintenance will be done as & when. :)

    However, again, as it's a total sh1tter, I also don't mind it looking like one. Hence not cleaning it yet since purchase at the start of October. :LOL:
