Good job, Ideally you should be at 3000rpm for the regen, sit in 4th or whatever sits close to that, did you get the regen light come on?

The glow plug light also acts as a 'regen me now' light by flashing BUT this does not happen on all Zafira's, for some reason some models do it and some dont, just another of Vauxhalls great but late ideas.

I have had the glow plug light flashing before and a run has turned it off but didnt think running the car to get the dpf temp up would make the light flash to tell you it was going through a regen, if that makes sense.

Your correct,..If your driving the car and it decides its going to regen the dpf then it wont flash the coil light, it only does that when its reaching a 'critical' level and is warning you to 'take me for a regen', when this happens its a good idea ,if possible, to take it for a drive to let the regen commence and run until finished, i think the light stops flashing when its complete, turning the car off when the light starts flashing will reset the system which as we all know is not a good idea and will only make the problem worse, if your in a situation where you cant take it for a run and the lights flashing then just remember the next time you drive it to try and take it for a run, light flashing or no, it will do a regen.
