After doing some searching around here i can't find the answer to my problem so thought i'd do my own post, anyway my key fob for the vectra b will not open/close any doors or boot,i've replaced the battery in the key and when i press the buttons on the key i do get a red light but it doesn't work the central locking, could anyone tell me what i need to do to get it working.
Thanks.

have heard that in some cars will make a difference if door is open or closed??
had the fob worked before with regards to locking/unlocking??
if the red light flashes then i would assume the fob is working but the car doesnt recognize it,if re-sync doesnt work maybe its the wrong fob for your car that would mean getting it re-programmed to your car via a vauxhall dealer!
maybe others on here can give you some better/accurate advice.
had the fob worked before??

This worked on my key.
Take the back off and place a folded piece of card in the back of it. There is too much flex in the plastic part of the key and the card takes up the slack. Or you could give the whole thing a good hard sqeeze together when working the buttons.

Sometimes simple is best - I'm the proof!!!
